Meyer Wilson Investigating Claims Against Former Broker Tye Williams

The securities fraud attorneys at Meyer Wilson are currently investigating claims against former broker and investment adviser Tye Williams (CRD# 1271046).

Former NEXT Financial Group, Inc. broker and investment adviser Tye C. Williams (CRD# 1271046) has been permanently barred from associating with firms that sell securities to the public or from acting as a broker by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as of September 6, 2016. He signed a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver & Consent on August 16, 2016 consenting to FINRA’s sanctions.

FINRA began their investigation into Williams’ activities after a customer filed a lawsuit alleging that Williams had stolen money from his brokerage account, mismanaged his assets, performed unauthorized transactions and made unsuitable investments. Williams refused to comply with FINRA’s requests for information, resulting in his permanent ban.

There is one pending customer dispute against Williams, alleging that Williams recommended the customer purchase unsuitable investments in ventures like “Smashburger.”

Williams was registered with NEXT Financial Group, Inc. based out of Frisco, TX from November 2008 to August 2016.
