Meyer Wilson Investigating Claims Against Broker Andrew Scheirer

Kovack Securities Inc. broker and investment adviser Andrew Scheirer (CRD# 4256666) has been the subject of two customer disputes and one termination since 2013.
The first dispute was filed in December 2013 and alleged that Scheirer acted negligently, negligently misrepresented facts, omitted relevant materials, breached his fiduciary duty, and recommended unsuitable investments. The case was related to private equity investments. The second customer complaint was filed on March 17, 2016. The customer alleged that Scheirer recommended unsuitable private equity products and mispresented material facts. Both disputes were settled for a total of $680,000.
In December of 2014, Scheirer was permitted to resign from his position at First Allied Securities, Inc. based out of Lake Mary, FL after he allegedly failed to follow firm procedures connected to an arbitration case.
Scheirer is currently registered as a broker and investment adviser at Kovack Securities Inc. based out of Lake Mary, FL. He previously worked First Allied Securities, Inc. from 2007 to 2014.
