The securities fraud attorneys at Meyer Wilson are currently investigating claims against broker James Michael Noto (CRD# 1030904).

James Noto first entered the securities industry in 1982 when he became registered with Cigna Securities. He was then registered with Merrill Lynch in 1993 before moving onto Vanguard Capital in 1998, where he stayed for just eight months. In late 1998, he became registered with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. Since 2005, he has been registered with Summit Brokerage Services, Inc.

Noto’s publicly-available BrokerCheck report shows that he has been the subject of a regulatory event and seven customer disputes. According to the report, Noto was fined by Florida’s Department of Financial Services in 2013 after allegedly engaging in the insurance business without proper licensing.

Noto has twice been the subject of customer complaints relating to the unsuitable recommendation of variable annuities. Both of those complaints were settled. Other customer complaints included allegations of unsuitability, lack of due diligence, and an improper bond swap.
