David P. Meyer is the founding principal of our firm. Mr. Meyer has earned a national reputation for successfully representing investors who are victims of investment fraud. He has represented over eight hundred individual investors from all across the country in securities arbitration and litigation against all major brokerage firms and won verdicts, judgments and settlements of hundreds of millions of dollars in losses on their behalf. He served as lead counsel for hundreds of retirees in a class action against Prudential Securities and won a jury verdict in excess of $261 million, believed to be the largest jury verdict in Ohio's history.


Mr. Meyer is listed in the Best Lawyers in America®, a distinction limited to just 1% of the practicing attorneys in the country as voted upon by other lawyers. Mr. Meyer has been repeatedly named a "Super Lawyer Rising Star" by Law and Politics magazine, a distinction given to only the top 2.5% of lawyers. He has also achieved the peer review rating of "AV" (the highest rating available) under Martindale-Hubbell's rating system for legal ability and ethical standards.

Mr. Meyer is also a recognized member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization formed to give recognition to advocates who have achieved a verdict, award or settlement for a client in the amount of one million dollars or more. During the past few years, several of Mr. Meyer's cases have received regional and international press coverage. Mr. Meyer's successes have been covered by newspapers and magazines such as The Marion Star, The Daily Reporter, The Columbus Dispatch, The London Times, The National Law Journal, and Business First. In addition, Columbus CEO Magazine featured a cover story about Mr. Meyer's law practice.

Mr. Meyer is a recognized authority on securities arbitration procedure and often serves as a guest lecturer on securities fraud and stockbroker malpractice. Bar associations regularly invite him to speak to attorneys at educational seminars. He also provides education to investor groups, accountants and other financial professionals concerning investor protection.

Mr. Meyer is an active member of several legal professional associations, including the Public Investors' Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), a national organization of attorneys dedicated to the advancement of investors' rights in securities arbitration proceedings.

Mr. Meyer holds a business administration degree from Ohio University and a law degree and masters degree in tax law from Ohio's Capital University Law School.
